Expose Corruption: Youth Mentorship and Advocacy Program
The Academy of European Integration and Negotiations (AIEN) is implementing the initiative “Expose Corruption: Youth Mentoring and Advocacy Program,” financially supported by the European Union. The project is being carried out in Tirana and Shkodër, targeting young professionals (ages 18–35) and local youth (ages 15–29).
Overall Objective: The overall objective is to empower young Albanian professionals and activists from local civil society organizations as proactive actors in the fight against corruption, enhancing their ability to identify, report, and address corruption risks in Education, Procurement, and Public Services, with the aim of fostering a culture of transparency and accountability in local communities.
General Objective: The aim is to empower young Albanian professionals and activists from local civil society organizations to act as proactive agents in the fight against corruption, strengthening their capacity to identify, report, and address corruption risks in education, procurement, and public services, with the goal of promoting a culture of transparency and accountability within local communities.
- Increased Youth Engagement: An empowered network of young professionals actively involved in anti-corruption initiatives, with a total of 75 participants completing the mentoring program, role-play exercises, and the identification of corruption “red flags.”
- Enhanced Knowledge and Skills: Participants will gain critical knowledge of anti-corruption laws and practices, demonstrated through their investigative reports.
- Improved Transparency: Identification and reporting of 10 cases of corruption “red flags” in local institutions, resulting in actionable recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders.
